From the recording Calling
Calling was written last Autumn and didn’t feel right to release in the summer. It’s a story of hope, of rescue following a violent world ending event. In a lot of ways it’s “The End part 2”.
It starts atmospheric and switches into glittering jangling ‘space rock’ as the promise of rescue emerges.
Lyrics
Falling
Like leaves in autumn
You’re stuck home again
Now that the summers done
Calling
Out for someone
To save you
Now that the sun is gone
So come with me it’s not far
It doesn’t matter who you are
So come with me it’s not far
And they don’t care what ails your heart
Bawling
Your eyes out
You destroyed it
and each other too
Calling
Out for someone
Anyone who’ll save you
Now that the storm has come
So come with me it’s not far
It doesn’t matter who you are
So come with me it’s not far
And they don’t care what ails your heart
So come with me it’s not far
It doesn’t matter who you are
So come with me it’s not far
And they don’t care what ails your heart
